Jan’s experience, expertise and terrific personality made the whole process of choosing a prosthesis and bras a real pleasure. She really knows the business well. With a minimum of fuss and bother you know you have what is best and right and most comfortable for you – and there were no long waits.

Within a short time you feel completely normal and unselfconscious about wearing the breast form because it fits well, says put and is comfortable. You can concentrate completely on other things without worrying about having to check it out – it doesn’t have a life of its own; it becomes part of you.

Jan Murphy came to the Goodwin Hostel Farrer and gave a talk on the correct way to fit and wear a bra. She also gave a demonstration on modern types of prosthesis for women who have had a mastectomy.

Her talk was both informative and easy to understand. The ladies and myself came away with a better understanding of the correct way we should wear our bras. She gives a personal fitting and makes sure that the bras that you chose suit your needs.

I personally purchased bras from Jan and felt very comfortable in the knowledge that the bras I purchased would be both comfortable and of good quality. Jan comes to you to deliver the products and was very helpful in all ways.

My name is Trish and I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001.

I am now working as an Activities Coordinator in an aged care facility and loving it. In my profession you need to be compassionate and understanding, and going through the crisis in my life has certainly changed my outlook on life.

I received a phone call at work from Jan Murphy who was promoting her mobile bra service, called Alive & Well. Jan wanted to arrange an appointment to come into the facility and give a lecture on the importance of a well-fitted bra and also talk about the availability of prosthesis to any of the residents and myself that may have had a mastectomy.

This service has been wonderful for our residents as many of our residents are unable to go out shopping or have no family to organise personal shopping for them. With this service our residents can be fitted in the privacy of their rooms. Jan's service is very professional and provides excellent support to our staff and residents.
